«Եթե կհիշեք, 30 տարիների ընթացքում այստեղ ունեցել ենք տարատեսակ կիսագործող սրճարաններ, կառուսելներ, որոնք չէին գործում, մսի պասաժներ, դեղատուն, «պեռաշկիանոց»: Այս ամենը վերափոխվել է, դարձել է հանրային նոր այգի, որը կարծում եմ`շատ հարմարավետ է, աշխատանքները շատ որակով են արված:
Կարծում եմ՝ այն հատվածները քաղաքի, որոնք ժամանակին եղել են քաղաքի շունչը, կարեւոր տեղեր մարդկանց համար, պետք է նմանատիպ ծրագրեր իրականացնենք: Մերգելյանն այդ կարեւոր ծրագրերից առաջինն էր»,- ասաց քաղաքապետը:
