Անհնազանդության գործողությունները վաղ առավոտից վերսկսել են: Դիմադրության շարժման ադամները փակել են Երեւանի մի շարք փողոցներ: Նոր Նորքում, Պարույր Սեւակ-Ռուբինյանց հատվածում ցուցարարները 5-10 րոպեով փակում էին փողոցը, խափանում երթեւեկությունը, հետո նորից վերականգնում այն:

Լարված էր իրավիճակը Հանրապետության փողոցում: Ոստիկանների ու ցուցարարների միջեւ բախում ու հրմշտոց եղավ, սկսեցին հայհոյանքներ տեղալ: Ցուցարարներին բռնի ուժով, ասֆալտին փռելով, ձեռք ու ոտք ոլորելով՝ նստեցրին ոստիկանական մեքենաներն ու տարան բաժին: Ցուցարարներից մեկը գոռում էր. «Ապեր, ձեռս ես ջարդում, ձեռս ցավում ա, արա խի՞ եք խփում, արա՛»:
